Ashanti Shequoiya who is better called Ashanti, is a famous American singer and actress. She is a musician, singer and actor from in the United States. Ashanti became famous as when she was a teen. In 2002, she signed with Murder Inc. Records. Ashanti was featured in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also featured in Fat Joe's track What's Luv?! and Ja Rules track Always on Time Both of them became huge hit songs. First female artist to be atop the highest two spots within the United States, with Foolish on number one and What's Luv? It was the first female artist to hold both of the highest two positions on the American Billboard Hot 100 With Foolish as number one, and then What's Love? Let's celebrate this momentous occasion by celebrating it together. Ashanti Shequoiya was popularly called Ashanti and was born on thirteenth October 1980 at Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas, her mother was a former teacher of dance. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. She is the eldest and the Kenashia Shia Douglas who is older sister. Douglas is named Ashanti Douglas in Ghana following her father's Ashanti Empire. Women had immense power in the Ashanti Empire and Douglas wanted Ashantis emulated that. James' grandfather worked for Martin Luther King Jr. as a civil rights activist in the 1960s. Ashanti was discovered by her mother when she saw Ashanti singing Mary J. Blige s song Reminisce. Ashanti made an appearance in Spike Lee's Malcolm X (1992) as well as Ted Demme's Who's the Man? as a young extra. There were also a couple of cameos in music videos including K.R.S.-Act One's MC's Don't Know and 8-Off's Ghetto Girl. Ashanti was courted and signed by a variety of record labels, including Bad Boy. She also featured in several cameos on music videos. She continued to perform in New York, and she began to hang around the Murder Inc. studios hoping to get a break. Ashanti originally appeared in the song of Big Pun's How We Roll as a backing singer. She was also featured on the Fat Joe's song What's Luv? as well as Ja Rule's Always On Time. It's her debut single Foolish includes a sample of the song by DeBarge called Stay With Me. Ashanti released her first album, titled "Ashanti" in 2002, under Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration is Ashanti's fourth studio album. The album was released through Murder Inc. on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby was released for radio and digital on 16 October 2009. The singer played Latasha In Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City. Aitch has sampled Rock wit U in his Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
